The Archeological Site of Palamari

It is located in the area of Palamari, an ancient settlement from the Copper Age(2500-1800BC)which has been brought into life by excavations.  An impressive finding including an organized city planning.

The Archeological museum

In the museum are exhibited numerous findings from various archeological sites ,covering an extensive prehistoric period(2800-1900BC),the Roman conquest and the first Geometric period(sarcophagi).

  The Historical and Folklore museum

It is housed in Faltaits residence.  Being created in 1964,the museum figures among the first folklore museums in Greece and aims to safeguard the Skyrian heritage.

   The square of Eternal Poetry at Hora(the town)

It is a pretty square hosting the statue of the English phillelene poet , Rupert Brooke ,overlooking the Aegean sea.

About the sculptor G. Lambrou

He is born in Skyros in 1946.An original artist who creates monumental works of art.Part of his work has been exhibited in private collections and museums all over Greece.
